flying high somewhere in fromer USSR (Cenral Asia going to Europe)

When I take this photo aboard LH 744 BKK -FRA
hindi ka akalain makaka lipad ako over the former USSR, kasi during the cold war malamang na intercept na kami ng mga MIGs at Sukhoi

I remember in 1974 when my father and I where planning to go to Europe, gusto namin talaga makatapak sa Russia, may flight noon SAS via Taskent, Uzbeck . we are very serious noon , kahit stop over lang, pero we were talked ut by our travel agent Paraluman mother ni baby obrien noon... instead as usual sa California ulit ang punta.

In the late 1960 everytime na papunta kami sa europe noon our route was manila- phe phompen- Bangkok- Calcuta- Delhi- Rome on a Boeing 707, ngayon may 747-400 from manila- Hong Kong to London Heathrow , dati may direct pa Manila to frankfurt non stop

One time over he English Channel I was joking my son biboy to watch out for German fighters ... tawa sya ng tawa.......
