great political come backs

he is responsible for allied defeat at karakale.. Winston Churchill is a below average student, his father Randolf has so much expectation in him, in the British military his father expected him to be a member of a cavalry regiment, a very prestigious regiment then, but instead his academic performance placed him in the dragoons.... this are infantry who rides to battle in horses but dismounts in battle, a cavalry rides and fight mounted on their horses....
king Simeon after 40 years an elected prime minister
from Elba to Helena
the greatest come back for me is Simeon II of Bulgaria, abdicated as king in 1950's and return to his country after the fall of Soviet Unions iron curtain and run for parliament.... after winning he was elected as Prime minister by parliament....
he is destine to rule and reign Bulgaria....

Napoleon Bonaparte, who was exiled at Elba after loosing the battle of Ligny, return to mainland France and was cheered by the soldiers who were sent to arrest him..
he return as emperor for 100 days......

Winston Churchill after losing in parliamentary election during Potsdam conference return 5 years after again as PM

i notice all political come backs are short term stay the second time around

in the Philippines we have also a great comeback ... jovito Salonga...
and another Jovito who is my father

i was this close in buying this car with my son

this is a Porsche 911 series, my son justin i grade 7 then in OB montesori we always go to car show rooms in brand new and pre owned cars, we inspect Range Rovers, mercs, Bimmers ang Audis
we are so serious in buying a porsch then but some intervening eents prevented us from owning one,
this porshe 911 is sold at tropical motors infront of mantrade along pasong tamo makati
The 911 was again revised in 1993 under the internal name Type 993. This car was significant as it was the final incarnation of the air-cooled 911, introduced in 1964.

The exterior featured an all new front and rear end. The revised bodywork was smoother, having a noticeably more aerodynamic front end somewhat reminiscent of the 959. Styling was by Englishman Tony Hatter under the supervision of design chief Harm Lagaay.

Along with the revised bodywork, mechanically the 993 also featured an all-new multilink rear suspension that improved the car's ride and handling. This rear suspension was largely derived from the stillborn Porsche 989's rear multilink design, and served to rectify the problems with earlier models' tendency to oversteer if the throttle or brakes were applied mid-corner. These modifications also reduced previous 911's lift-off oversteer problems to a much more moderate degree.

The new suspension, along with chassis refinements, enabled the car to keep up dynamically with the competition. Engine capacity remained at 3.6 L, but power rose to 272 PS (200 kW) thanks to better engine management and exhaust design, and beginning with model year 1996 to 286 PS (210 kW). The 993 was the first Porsche to debut variable-length intake runners with the "Varioram" system on 1996 models. This addressed the inherent compromise between high-RPM power production and low-RPM torque production, and was one of the first of its kind to be employed on production vehicles. A new four-wheel-drive made a return as an option in the form of the Carrera 4, the rear wheel drive versions simply being called Carrera. A lightweight RS version saw capacity rise to 3.8 L, with power reaching 300 PS (221 kW). The RS version had rear-wheel drive only.

Non-turbo models appeared that used the Turbo's wide bodyshell and some other components (the Carrera 4S and later the Carrera S).

The rare Targa open-topped model also made a return, this time with a large glass roof that slid under the rear window. The expensive air-cooled 993 Targa had a limited release between 1996–1998

world events that i follow in detail

these are the world events that affect by political thinking in one way or the other

of the recent history these following events, from tsar nikolai, ti teddy roosevelt, sadat assasination , the goverance of shah reza to his down fall and the falklands war... i closely watched, read and analyse theses event.

tsar nikolas of russia was a classical example of a fall from the top, the higher you climb , the harder you fall, i read detailed books of his life, even went to his palace in st petersburg, to see the grandeur of his life, and his resting place in peter and paul cathedral

1960's travel to san francisco and hong kong

my first foreign trip was Hong Kong 1965, Ricksaw was the mode of transportation
we stayed at merlin hotel, i still remember the toys i bought then... a F111 fighter bomber and an DC 7 american airlines pro jet battery operated.

my first long distance flight was san francisco in Nov 1967, just after my fathers victory then. we were accompanied by bobby and chedeng galvez in the flight, i was very funny then because our flight has been moved back 3 days just to avoid sharing the 8 seats first class cabin with our just defeated political oponent then.. it was moved from nov 25 , 1967 to nov 30, 1967.
Mr. Bobby Galvez is a political supporter of my father, he helped us alot in the campaign, lend us 2 cars and drivers, and he made reservations at PAL and os pertaining to our flights as well. later i learned that he was lobbying something from my father and was trned down because of some matter qualifications

we stayed at st francis drake hotel across union square

1960's in my life

this is the araneta colliseum, I had my first experience of medical emergency here in 1968 december, where we were watching Holiday on Ice, my father slip and broke his right foot, he was rushed to makati medical to have hs foot cast for 2 years

this is pines hotel , in Baguio city, everytime my parents go to this city, we go there in a very large group. we rent a house that will serve as kitchen and sleeping rooms for some, and at least 5 bedrooms at Pines hotel, one time i even brought along 5 classmates of mine and slip them in the room , everyday the room boy and the management are fighting wnd arguing when we are there, this happen during lent retreat at the vice presidents house....

rizal theater- this is where i first saw a movie .... it is Batman movie
this is the streets then
and the famous VW, my father bought a 1200 cc white tinted vw in 1960's after loosing in 1971, to be incognito where ever he goes in the city

life was very new to me then in the 60's i remember taxi drivers in the street of manila using merceces benz pontoon cars aka 190D, some uses toyopet, corona sedans, most of the say cilia or mano means right turn and left turns...... now you only hear those spanish language in school.

In makati commercial center then , only mercury, shoemart, polex, rustams, automat caffee shop, sulo restaurant, coronado lanes and barbershop, makati supermarket, maranaw department store are there. EDSA is hiway 54 then. at the makati supermart, there use to ba a contest where in one could win a piper plane if you could guess how many candies fit in the plane.
