the first filipino to die in ww one in the western frontI have mixed feeling about the heroic deeds of my namesake hero Tomas Claudio, he hails from Morong Rizal.... in those times Rizal provice was caled province of Morong.
The circunstance of his death is quite strange, no heroic deeds no medals no testimony of in the battlefield just plain FIRST filipino to die in WW one.
i research about Tomas Claudio, he is not a soldier from the philippines but a US resident, already living and working in USA, the president then did not approve the recruitment of soldiers from its colonial territories. he vounteer to fight in world war one...
