SAN JUAN NEPOMOCENO, ALSO KNOWN AT ST JOHN NEPOMUKSan Juan Nepomoceno is a priest who was forced by the king to reveal to him the contents of the confession of the queen, he refuse to divulge the confession as mandated by his oath to God unil he was killed for insubordination to the king. he was beheaded. and his head thrown out in the river over the bridge.
In Europe he is the Patron saint of Bridges, some newly biult bridges are blessed by his prayers. In our Church he is seen in a pedestal standing over the bridge.
He is the protector from floods, destructions and to prevent bridges from falling.
I have seen a connection with our patron saint, which i joyfully tease my father, tha san juan nepomoceno used him during his congress days to up keep, repair, upgrade the bridges in his districts, namely, Don Carlos Bridge, Culi culi bridge rehab, neighborhood bridge, galolo bridge, jun hitler bridge, cansino- makat bridge, concorde drainage project NAIA, tramo bridge along bgy 157 along Imelda avenue, these are all his projects plus some other minor bridges in Villamor .
